A couple of days ago my dad took me to the local lavender field to photograph the field with a red sky, but unfortunately the sky didn’t produce anything good. So we decided to photograph the individual flowers, morning, evening and overcast days are the best times to photograph flowers because bright/direct sunshine can make the flowers very difficult to expose and also it is very hard to capture the true colour of the flower. I chose to use a Canon 400mm F2.8 with converters to greatly improve the amount of diffusion in the background and foreground,to provide a very limited depth of field. This proved a successful method but I will go back in a couple of days to try and capture the lavender field with that ever elusive sky.
