THE FOX PROJECT

+
Taz administers oral medication to the fox's meal to treat an array of ailments.
+
Orphaned fox cubs crave social encounters and often orphans will be kept together in order to form a strong social bond.
+
Football nets are often huge cause of fox deaths. Here Taz is carefully cutting away the net to free the cub.
+
Occasionally cubs will need veterinarian care before coming to recover at the Fox Project.
+
The Fox Project is passionate about sharing their knowledge with the public. Here a member of the public is being shown how to set a humane cub trap.
+
Although they may look cute, all of these cubs have sad stories and a long but caring road to recovery.
+
After spending time at their main facility the cubs are then transferred to a specialist cub rearing facility with trained carers.
+
Whilst at the cub facility they gain more curiosity and with other cubs learn vital social skills.
+
The carers have immense love for the cubs and it is always a bitter sweet ending when the cubs come to be released.
+
The cubs are giving the amble opportunity to explore their surroundings whilst at the facility.
+
Before release all cubs have their photograph taken and a visual record is recorded for the Fox Project.
+
Members of the public can volunteer to have 'soft-release' pens set up in their garden so that the cubs start to become more wild and look their trust in humans.
+
The 'soft-release' pens are vital for the final stages of release, allowing the cubs to learn the sites and smells of the outdoors.
+
Once released cubs are on their own and its now up to them to decide their future.
